First research results were published in Colloids and Surfaces A: Physicochemical and Engineering Aspects

Paper titled “Calcium phosphate formation on TiO2 nanomaterials of different dimensionality” was published in May 2020 where the influence of TiO2 nanoparticles and titanate nanotubes on calcium phosphates spontaneous precipitation was investigated for the first time. Uncommon dual effect on the rate of amorphous to crystalline calcium phosphate transformation was observed. No significant structural difference between calcium deficient hydroxyapatite formed on different nanomaterials was observed. Ina Erceg, doctoral student of CaPBiomimNanocomp project is the first author on this paper. Link to the paper is here:

Organization of Synergy Symposium for NanoBioMedicine, held from November 4th to 5th in Zagreb, Croatia

The members of CaPBiomimNanocomp project, together with the colleagues from other HRZZ projects – OrDeN (IP-2016-06-1137), NanoFaces (IP-2016-06-2436), (IP-2018-01-1493) NanoFlavNeuroProtect (IP-06-2016 ) and NutriNTENSe (IP-2018-01-8119), have organized Synergy Symposium for NanoBioMedicine (Zagreb, 4th – 5th November, 2019).

Ina Erceg held presentation titled “Influence of albumine on calcium phosphates formation on TiO2 nanotubes”.

Best poster award at Solid-State Science & Research meeting, held on University of Zagreb, Faculty of Science, Department of Chemistry in Zagreb, 27-29 June 2019.
